Route description
The Blue Pools are a few marvelous natural pools, formed by the water where a stream flow into the Makarora River. The only important hint we can give you is DON'T FORGET some kind of insects repellent, this is one of the area infested by Sandflies and mosquitos, both of them looking for your blood.
Short description of the path: the sign at the entrance reminds you about the Sandflies. After a short trail into the pristine forest untili we can see the Makarora river and, next to a bridge, the Blue Pools. The colours of the water are incredible, the blue is bright, almost shining. But in case you come here after a rainy day, the water will not be so clean and brilliant.
