The first section is the same path leading to the "grotta del Gelo". We startfrom the barrier Altomontana path, mt Etna: from the barrier at the path beginning, so we already are 2km faraway from Ragabo/Brunek refuges. The path is really easy to walk through, we point out the following point of interest:

We get the Lamponi Grotto Altomontana path, mt Etna: Lamponi Grotto, after 6km walking. To explore the cave, leave the track and go over for a few meters, you can download the pictures with the gpx/kml track. We go right, heading refuge Santa Maria, our next step.
