The path starts from Paternò-Castello refuge Cubania pinewood hiking trail: Paternò-Castello refuge, which today is used as a deposit by the State forester. You can reach the refuge from the Pietracannone houses, or you can get in from the lava rocks slope you find along the Mareneve street that from Fornazzo leads to the Citelli Refuge. In this case it is possible to use the bikes for the path. Once you get to the refuge, you can continue along the street on its left or you can get the wider path that starts a few metres down the road. We go up the steep along the refuge until we meet the wider path Cubania pinewood hiking trail:  meet the wider path and we continue our walk on the right. On a bend you can see the signs for the path that leads to Rinatu mount Cubania pinewood hiking trail:  signs for the path that leads to Rinatu mount. We decide to take it, but before we go up the mount we decide to walk through a path that leads to the Bove Valley Cubania pinewood hiking trail:  to the Bove Valley. A few details on the path: walking time, length and difference in height of the path are referred to the one way walk. When you want to go back you have to walk for 7km because you can skip the walk up on monte Rinatu. We suggest using two cars, leaving one nearby the Sartorius mounts so that you can go back. Otherwise you can use the bike for this path and then you can go back from Mareneve street.
