It'a a nice scenic trail inside the Nebrodi Park. It leads at the "Sun shelter" (Rifugio del Sole), about 1300 meter above sea level. Here you can find some of the very few dolomite rocks in Sicily and meet some interesting bird of prey.

It's possible to climb the peak from many ways, we left from Portella Gazzana. The path is quite easy, a dirt road crossing some woods and many green pastures. From here, it's possible to see the Eolian Islands (it's a hazy day, so you can barely see them over the clouds) and the very green Nebrodi Park in the opposite side.

When we reach the refuge on the top , we are welcomed from some wonderful griffons flying for a couple of minutes on our heads. We walked for 8 km, with 350 meters difference in height uphill
