The path goes from Cassano d'Adda to Lodi, along the left Adda river bank. It should be a "brand-new" itinerary, as stated at http://www.lombardia.movimentolento.it/it/resource/track/ad02-il-parco-adda-sud
We cycled through the path in the 2016, just 4 years after the path creation and in our view it is not in perfect conditions.
The path starts from the Cassano d'Adda train station. The station is in very bad conditions, we preferred not to take pictures of it. A few meter after the station, we pass over the river on a narrow pedestrian walkway next to the rails. In a few hundred meters we reach a high traffic road ; we suggest you to cross it and cycle in a cycle way on the other side of the road until this round about .
From here to the entrance of the dirt road that goes along the river bank is necessary to stay for 600 meters in the road among the cars. In my view, this makes the path unsuitable for children. Besides, the entrance of the dirt road on the right HAS NO SIGNALS!!! There is a bar blocking the entrance, the side pass for pedestrian is to narrow so that we must lift our bikes to cross the bar. Last but not least, the first part of the dirt road is covered by brambles .
We must admit that the path is making its best to make us come back... but fortunately, from now on things are going to get better. The path goes now along the river . Swans , flowers , old bridges and a lot of poplars , until we get to the "Bacchelli" channel , a waterway linking the Adda river to the city of Crema.
A few kms before Lodi the path enter in the Boffalora d'Adda village, perfect for our lunch break at the restaurant "La Matta". Last 6 kms are in a comfortable cycleway to Lodi .
Hints for cyclotourists: is possible to cycle on the path starting from Milano both by train or by Martesana cycleway (32km) to reach the Cassano d'Adda train station. We suggest to come back to Milan by train.
