Beautiful ring route that can be made starting from several points:

• Campo Carlo Magno
• The Orso Bruno hut
• Marilleva 1400 area

We started from Marilleva 1400 by taking the cable car to the Malga Panciana. From here we climbed to the Bassetta di Vigo via the trail leading to the Orso Bruno refuge until we found the signs for the Lago Alto and 'i Tre Laghi'.

The first part of the route is on a clearing and show a scenic view including the Brenta Dolomites. The path proceed inside the wood, in some stretches is possible to look at a part of the Malghette lake. Walk over an old landslide before you reach the Lago Alto.

The path continues on the left, from here is possible to sees the entire Lake of the Malghette. "I tre laghi", The Three Lakes, is a perfect place for a break on the hike. These are the first two lakes but the most beautiful one is definitely the third lake, amazing scenic view with the dolomites in the background. From here is already possible to spot the Lago Scuro (Dark Lake), the next step of the path after a descending path partially on muddy soil. This is, in our opinion, the ideal place for lunch break and to have some rest before resuming the descent crossing a few streams until the Lake of the Malghette and then the Rifugio delle Malghette, in our opinionin definitely too crowded.

You can have a break here or rise up quickly following the directions for the Orso Bruno hut until you close the ring route at the top of Bassetta di Vigo. Pay close attention to cableways opening time when you need to come back at the starting point; they usually close in summer at around 5pm, but check before planning the hike.
