From here starts a neverending sequence of steps on the trail 212, first and then . During the ascent there are a , the panorama il very nice towards and . Close to the refuge there are some interesting spots: the , the old (first world war) and the dedicated to mountain martyrs. Once you , the landscape is really impressive. It is possible to stare looking at below us and also at the (only in summer time!), whose water reaches (and feeds) the Sarca river. The refuge is a good starting point for hikers willing to reach the small glacers or even reach the Tonale pass through the Maroccaro pass, facing path reserved to expert mountaineers. We just have some rest at the refuge before walking down through the same, never ending stairway we faced on the rising path. Overall we walked more than 10 km with 1000 meters ascent (and descent).
