It's a very beautiful walk on the CAI trail n° 24.

Go to the Cainallo refuge by car, GET the parking ticket (2 euros for the whole day) and then keep driving on the dirt road until you reach an opening on a meadow. Leave the car here and start rising on the left inside a wood. The path is quite easy to walk, partially inside the wood, showing the landscape on the valley. After 1.5 km you'll reach the fork to the refuge Bogani, go right on the sharp rise. On the top, you'll see for the first time the Lecco lake, it's really a wonderful panorama!

Keep walking on the trail toward this small church and the "Arco di porta Prada", a sort of natural artwork, really impressive. From now on there is a short descending section and then a smooth rise on the hillside, leading to the Bietti refuge. The refuge is on a nice opening where you can see a part of the lake. We walked for a total of 4.5 km with a difference in altitude of about 300 meters uphill (one way)
