An easy loop trail that starts at Pian delle Betulle, about 3,2 km long with 270 metres of ascent. The trail sets off from the Pian delle Betulle car park and heads straight into open pastures.

After about 400 metres we climb alongside grazing cows, as the valley floor drops away behind us. Along the way keep an eye out for some lovely mountain flowers and, if you're lucky, a butterfly or two:

• mountain rampion
• alpine clover
• alpine rose
• a ringlet butterfly

Around the 1,5 km mark we reach the upper station of the old winter chairlift, the highest point of the trail at 1732 metres.

From here the view opens up towards Cimone di Margno, on our left. The path then starts to descend, partly over a short stretch of loose rock, before rewarding us with a fine view back over Pian delle Betulle from above.

The final stretch brings us back down to the valley, and the trail ends near the Baitock hotel-restaurant.
